UH Venues employs approximately 10 core members of staff as well as 7 members of casual operational staff, mostly in the Catering division. The turnover of UH Venues core staff is low and all staff are made fully aware of the importance of sustainability across our facilities. Staff are one of the most important parts of helping us to deliver our sustainability agenda.

What we are doing:

  • Management encourage staff participation in sustainable agenda
  • UH Venues supports Operations Managers in professional development in sustainability
  • Staff consulted to this document
  • Sustainability to become standing item on all agendas

Future commitment:

  • Publicise utility bill information to assist with staff understanding
  • Eco champions amongst staff
  • Suggestion scheme for staff
  • Further liaison with UH Environment team
