The lights are set, the cameras are rolling and the University of Hertfordshire is ready for action as we jump in for a summer of filming. Various crews have joined us across both sites putting the usual student spaces into makeup, turning rooms into unique film sets.
The second series of Channel 4’s Sci-Fi drama ‘Humans’ joined us on the de Havilland Campus, filming for 10 days turning the heart of the campus into a Hospital; teaching space into hospital wards and outdoor areas into a school playing field. Additional car shots were also taken around the local area. ‘Humans’ is due to be aired late 2016.
As well as Channel 4 we have welcomed the BBC back onsite, filming for ‘Eastenders’ using the Mock Law Court and using our car park facilities as a base for filming in the local area. Most recently, we have had two simultaneous film crews: One filming the second series of ‘Marley’s Ghost’, a comedy sitcom starring Sarah Alexander and John Hannah and the second filming a pilot episode called ‘We are the Jury’.
There’s more filming on the way as new enquiries sought after our newly built science building for television adverts, though in its early stages we have high hopes for filming on campus.
And… that’s a wrap!
